• Cell cultures/Isolated clonal populations
  • Submit to ATCC, perhaps start practice of submitting strains to two culture centers. DSMZ can serve as second repository in Germany.
• Sequence data
  • Addgene, deposit clones and cDNA libraries
  • Sequence data: put links to where your data is accessible
  • Choanobase – possibility of writing a community grant
• Gather and unify taxonomic data, ChoanoWiki species pages, Barry’s databases of choanoflagellate species
• Scan in old choanoflagellate papers and put on ChoanoWiki

2013 Meeting

• Frank and Helge volunteered to host one in Germany or Denmark
• Concerns about funding, Nicole volunteered to look into funding for international meetings
• Agreed every two years is a good time interval
• Pawel suggested having a less frequent origins of multicellularity meeting
• Rick suggested having a choanoflagellate meeting as a special topics meeting before the ASCB meeting
